What are some good songs for me to buy, old and new?

I'm going on a two day road trip alone and I need some new tunes for my iPod. I like all kinds of music NOT all the same repetitive junk that's on the radio this year. My favourite band is Depeche Mode but I also like Jann Arden, Elton John's old stuff, Morrissey, Genesis, Zero 7, Sia, some Goldfrapp. I like everything from jazz to rnb to rock to house and trance music. Any song or band/artist ideas will be cool. Thanks!
