I have been crocheting for about 5 years now, and I can pretty much figure out everything I come across, but on this I'm puzzled. I got a free pattern off the internet, and it uses double crochet (dc), single crochet (sc), and a slip stitch (sl st). There are some others too, but in starting the next row it says "St in next 2 dc..." Below the directions is says that St stands for stitch, but which one? I am confused and I'm uming that it stands for either Sc or Sl St and maybe it's a typo. Unless I'm missing something. Is there a stitch that is just called Stitch?

How can I protect newborn puppies from parvo?

2 puppies from our female's (Roxy) last litter contracted parvo and died. We're not sure if Roxy had been vaccinated as a puppy or not, however she did not contract it herself. Two nights ago she gave birth to another litter & I'm worried about the possibility of her ping it to her puppies. The puppies are inside the house but Roxy goes back and forth. I have a Jack Russ also. He loves gr! He is like a cow. I asked the vet about it and the vet said it could be because he has an upset stomach or just loves gr. But he never did throw up. I would watch for treats like certain dyes in them. Because that can bother their tummies. Or you might want to change the food also. I use Benefield dog food. I don't use wet food because it does upset his stomach. My dog doesn't shiver but his dad shivers alot. The vet said that it's normal. But with everything else that you have said. I am using an LS-32 by Idaho Technology and we are using the real time PCR function to genotype DNA on the 4F2 gene. When we run the ay, we get a melt curve but no peaks that corresponds to a WT, a Het or a Mut. We have adjusted the DNA concentration and made several batches of new primer/probe mix. Any other suggestion on how we would fix this problem?

well...colleges like to see you challenge yourself. that means taking honors, ap, and high level foreign language cles. if you're not doing well in these cles (C or below) you shouldn't take it. but, if your doing well in these cles, and you want to go to a big school, i think that it's very important to take honors. by poorly, if its a B-C, then i would keep taking it. if its more like a low C, D, or F, I wouldn't take it. if your barely ping your honors cles, i would take fewer of them. hope this helps! good luck!

I'm a Navy IA, Is it acceptable to wear my ACU while traveling?

I'm not sure what the policy is, but traveling from the theater to the states. My Army counterparts wear the same uniform while traveling, but I'm not quite sure since it's not my services uniform, and any Sailor or Marine would know not to be caught out in town in utilities of any kind. My Betta Fish Has Fin Rot?

I've been taking care of betta fish for 5 years. I've been noticing that when I first buy my fish, their tail fins are curved in a C when they fan their tails out. But after a while of owning them, about 5 months, I noticed their tail gets ragged. I don't think it is fin rot, because their tail coloring does not change. However, the color of the scales on their bodies do fade a bit. Out of the 7 fish I have/had, only 3 of them had this problem, but I haven't found a way to fix it. I change the water once a week. (I keep them in a large bowl.) I feed them regularly. I keep the betta fish apart from each other with a book, so they do not see each other. I keep a indoor bamboo plant with them in the same bowl, and there is also plastic sand, marbles, smooth pebbles, and some plastic shell ornaments in the bowl as well. I has a suspicion that the plastic shell ornaments were the problem, so I kept one of my ragged betta fish in a bowl with nothing in it, just water. After 2 weeks, I saw no improvements. The tail fins and the lower fins (near it's tummy) are raggged. It's almost as if the fish wore them down. The rips are not as big like the pictures of fin rot I have seen, but I may be wrong. It's not a split either. Only the ends of the tail seem to be in trouble. Can you offer advice, tips, or what is wrong with my betta fish? And cures as well? Sorry but there will be no easy solution to this. You just have to stop giving her the bottle. Once the decision is made, be consistent and don't back down or give in, because as soon as you do, she will realise that she can do something that will get you to change your mind. How long does it take to recover from pleural effusion?

I had a rather severe case 3.5 months ago where I had almost 3 liters of fluid drained. I feel like I am much more prone to sinus infections and bronchitis than before and am perpetually scared it will return. Heey, so recently I have been looking in the mirror, and wish I hadn't. Thinking to myself that I am hideous, and not a worthy person. Why do so many people who perfer anime subs down anime lovers who love dubs??

I really hate when people just down anime dubs and people who like them b/c they always say it sucks,unbearible,or the english voices don't match the characters.It really pisses me off when they say stuff like that b/c I fell like the voice actors do an excellent job with the acting look at BLEACH for example to the the voice actors really do grab the essence of the character and I also feel that we do have the anime in english now and that makes me happy that we have it.I love Funimation,Viz Media,and other great dubbing companies except 4Kids (I understand that!!) .I am one of those people who are willing to wait for the dub to come out b/c I like the excitement and anticipation everything.My question is why can't they understand how they feel but we can understand them and have nothing really to say about sub except some of us just don't like to read subtitles.I feel that we are equal and we're still watching the same animes with the same storylines and everything else just different languages but it's still english in the subs.
