How to adjust bindings on skiis?

I bought a pair of new boots for my daughter, and now need to fit them on the skiis with bindings she already has. They are the straight kind of ski, apparently "the old kind", and I can't find a technician to adust them. It is very frustrating, as I don't wnat to buy another pair of skiis also. I need to find a technician in Ottawa or area who can adjust them, or instructions on how to do it myself.
