Why don't you get up and do something useful instead of praying?

Prayer has no practical value. In fact, it can only ever be a detriment. You just sit there and ask "God" to solve all your problems for you. This encourages laziness, apathy and falsehood. If you really cared that a wrong was being committed, you'd get personally involved...you wouldn't just hang around wishing for justice to happen. And if you believe prayer CAN change things, which is absolutely and utterly false, it will deter you from actually doing something about it. The world does not need prayer. It needs action. And it's time all you carpet-scrs and ceiling-talkers realized that.
